After I finished my residency training in Chicago, my husband brought our family to Charlottesville so that he could do a fellowship program at the University. We had initially only planned on staying for 3 years, but, like most people I know here, we fell in love with the area and we now consider this our home.
Patients often ask me "why on earth did you go into this??"
The truth is that I have always loved the company of women. As a medical student, I found the care of women to be immensely rewarding. For healthy patients, I enjoy the process of reaffirming their wellness and discussing ways to maintain their good health through various stages in their lives. For those women who come to see me with specific gynecologic problems, I can usually diagnose and treat these issues in a timely fashion and get them back to normal quickly. Taking care of patients is a true privilege, and I am so happy to be able to help care for the Charlottesville area's women!
